Mary Thompson | Judy Corder

Mary Thompson has an M.A. in Speech Communication specializing in the area of organizational communication from The University of Texas at Austin.

She is a mediation and facilitation specialist with more than 20 years experience in the design and execution of dispute resolution and collaborative problem-solving training programs. She has facilitated problem-solving sessions for policy makers in fields which include natural resource planning, education, community development and health care.

Ms. Thompson has provided training and consulting services to a variety of public and private organizations.   She is the former Assistant Director of the Dispute Resolution Center in Austin, Texas.   Ms. Thompson has served as the Ethics Chair for the Training Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution, on the Council for the State Bar of Texas ADR Section and on the Texas Mediator Credentialing Committee.  She is a founding member of the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.  She currently serves on the Editorial Board of the State Bar of Texas ADR Section newsletter.

Judy Corder has a Ph.D. in Sociology from Indiana University and has served on the faculties of the University of Texas and St. Edward's University.

As a specialist in the field of alternative dispute resolution, Dr. Corder has developed and conducted conflict resolution and mediation training programs throughout the United States.  She has facilitated decision-making groups addressing such issues as software design, urban planning, city council working relationships, neighborhood zoning, criminal justice policy planning, and non-profit administration. 

Dr. Corder has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Texas Law School and was formerly the President of the Advisory Board and an adjunct faculty member for the master’s degree program in Conflict Resolution at St. Edward’s University. 

She is a charter member of the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association (TMCA) and holds the TMCA designation of Credentialed Advanced Mediator   She is a Fellow of the Texas Public Policy Dispute Resolution Center, a past-president of the Texas Association of Mediators and was a member of the founding board of the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association.
