Services  Facilitated Problem Solving and Decision Making Corder/Thompson & Associates provides facilitators for problem-solving sessions and work sessions involving groups, such as multi-party disputes, policy round tables, board or staff retreats or strategic planning sessions. As facilitators, Corder Thompson & Associates structures complex issues for discussion, keeps the group on task, manages participation, and uses consensus building strategies to identify areas of agreement. Mediation Disputes that have become polarized often require the assistance of a third-party neutral to address the interests of all parties. A third-party neutral can help break an impasse, allow a thorough but controlled airing of the issues, maximize the search for creative solutions, and finalize a realistic agreement. Corder/Thompson & Associates works in cooperation with individuals and with groups to structure a fair, safe and impartial problem-solving process for a broad range of disputes. Training In the past 15 years, Corder/Thompson & Associates has provided training in the areas of basic mediation, advanced mediation, group facilitation and negotiation. Corder/Thompson training programs emphasize participation and accommodate a variety of learning styles. Each workshop is customized to address the specific needs of the audience and incorporates demonstration, practice, lecture, discussion, and small group exercises.
